Teens Teeth Whitening Alert!
Everyone wants whiter teeth, and that includes people of different races, age and gender. Having great smiles says a lot about a person, and making a great impression is important.
Teens, on the other hand, should be careful of having their teeth bleached, especially after having braces. Dentists suggests that the teens pearly whites might still be too fragile for such strong procedure, and may damage the teeth in the long run.
Although teeth bleaching is encourage, Teeth have to be fully erupted in someone's mouth before they can be properly bleached, because if they are still growing in, there's a portion of the tooth that will be whitened and the other portion wouldn't be,"said dentist Mary DeMello of the Massachusetts Dental Society.
One of the main reasons why people want to have teeth bleaching is that teeth does tend to get darker and discolored over time. The best advice is to wait until you're old enough to whiten your teeth. Also, over-the-counter whitening products aren't as strong as those used by a dentist.
