Keeping Your Pearly Whites

Teeth whitening is very beneficial, but it can also damage the teeth and gums and cause side effects. To lessen or avoid any of these problems, try consulting your dentist for advice on the most effective and safe teeth whitening products for your teeth and gums. Consider these tips as well:

        1.        Teeth that have naturally turned a yellowish color usually respond well to tooth bleaching.

·                   2.        Teeth that have discolored to a brownish or gray shade may not respond very well to bleaching.

·                  3.         If you have bonding or tooth-colored fillings, they probably won't bleach well, and will stand out after your natural teeth are whitened.

·                  4.          Porcelain veneers or dental bonding may be good options for people with dental work that doesn't bleach well.
